Congregational Crisis Response
When clergy misconduct occurs, the process of reporting and investigation can be emotionally and spiritually overwhelming—for the victim, as well as the entire congregation.
These situations often bring confusion, grief and disruption to the life of the church.
To help navigate these difficult moments, the Horizon Texas Conference provides trained Crisis Response and Care Teams and Resource Persons, advocates who offer compassionate support to individuals and congregations. These teams are equipped to walk alongside those affected, offering guidance, care and clarity throughout the process.
The HTC is committed to maintaining and expanding this ministry by ensuring that advocates and response teams are well-trained, available and ready to serve when needed—so that no one faces these challenges alone.
