Clergy Professional Development

Clergy leadership is a lifelong journey of spiritual formation, adaptive learning, self-awareness, relational health, intercultural competency and community engagement.

The Horizon Texas Conference is committed to walking alongside pastors at every stage of ministry—providing coaching, peer learning, and specialized training that help clergy lead with wisdom, spiritual depth, resilience and cultural awareness.

Through confidential coaching, supportive cohorts, and targeted workshops, we aim to equip clergy to flourish in their calling and bear lasting fruit in the communities they serve.

Advanced Leadership Coaching

Clergy coaching provides a confidential space for pastors to reflect, plan, and grow. Using a co-active coaching model, trained coaches walk alongside clergy during transitions, new appointments, or seasons of challenge. Coaching focuses on deep listening, clarity of vision, and tangible next steps for ministry effectiveness.

Annual Clergy Covenant Gathering

Early each year, Horizon Texas Conference clergy gather for a time of renewal, encouragement and recommitment to their calling. This covenant event combines worship, learning and connection with colleagues across the conference.

Annual Clergy Retreat

Each year, Horizon Texas Conference clergy take time apart from the everyday pace of ministry to spend time with God and one another in an encouraging, spiritually nourishing environment.
