Rev. Andy Lewis serves as assistant to the bishop/chief of staff for the Horizon Texas Conference, a position he has held since October 2024. Previously, Lewis served as assistant to the bishop in the legacy North Texas Conference, beginning in 2017. Prior to joining the cabinet, Lewis was senior pastor of First UMC Lewisville from 2012-2017 and Holy Covenant UMC from 2008-2012.
A native of Plano, Texas, Lewis holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and Perkins School of Theology.
He and his wife, Sondra, have been married more than 30 years, and together they have three children. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, running, playing tennis and reading.
