Rev. Stacey Piyakhun

Director of Multiplication EMAIL
Rev. Stacey Piyakhun

Rev. Stacey Piyakhun serves as the Horizon Texas Conference’s director of multiplication. She previously served as associate director of multiplication, beginning in July 2024.

Ordained in 2011, Piyakhun has served in multiple pastoral roles across the North Texas region, including First UMC Frisco, Christ UMC in Plano and First UMC McKinney/Melissa UMC. As the lead pastor for Melissa UMC, she walked alongside the congregation from worship in a local elementary school, through the challenges of the pandemic, to the opening of their first permanent building in April 2021. The church grew both in number and in their ability to welcome, encourage and serve the community.

In her role as director of multiplication, Piyakhun leads efforts in church planting by supporting and resourcing new expressions of United Methodism. She also focuses on developing leaders among both clergy and laity and strengthening campus and collegiate ministries. One of her guiding scriptures during periods of rapid change is Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” She holds firmly to the belief that God has been building a church since the beginning of time as God’s people gather, and God continues to build a church today.

Piyakhun is a graduate of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, as well as West Texas A&M University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in music. She has been married to her husband Keith for more than 25 years, and they have two grown daughters. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, reading, spending time with family and friends and training their youngest dog in tricks. Her passion for sharing God’s love, paired with her spiritual vision, has shaped her leadership within the United Methodist Church.
