Evangelism & Church Growth
Evangelism is at the heart of the United Methodist mission: making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. In the Horizon Texas Conference, our focus is on cultivating vibrant witnesses rooted in God’s grace and engaged with the joys and struggles of their local communities.
Through relational coaching, intentional leadership development, data-based strategy, and mindset shifts, churches engage their communities with authenticity and purpose. Whether through new faith community grants, church growth cohorts, or holistic tools like MissionInsite, we equip congregations to share the love of Christ in ways that resonate with their neighbors.
Leadership Coaching for Evangelism & Growth
The Horizon Texas Conference offers CAST (Coach Approach Skills Training) trained coaches for pastors, leadership teams, and congregations. Coaching supports vision casting, community analysis, outreach strategy, and discerning Holy Conversations for unifying or merging congregations.
Leadership Development & Training
Congregations engage resources that nurture leadership at every level, including:
- Coaching sessions that align mission to context
- Masterclasses, coaching, and webinars for story-based outreach, generosity, and spiritual formation
- Tools for creating a culture of evangelism, developing hospitality strategies, and discovering storytelling pathways.
The Department for Multiplication walks alongside leaders who love their communities and share Jesus in meaningful ways.
MissionInsite & Vital Signs
MissionInsite provides demographic insights for congregational outreach planning, while Vital Signs helps churches track attendance, small groups, professions of faith, and mission participation. These tools help leaders monitor progress and shape effective strategies.
