Collegiate Ministries
College is a season of exploration, growth and deep formation, and the Horizon Texas Conference is committed to walking alongside young adults through every step of the journey.
Through campus ministries across Texas, students encounter a welcoming space where they can ask hard questions, explore their calling, experience community and grow in faith. From free meals and worship gatherings to pastoral mentorship and leadership development, our collegiate ministries create vital places of belonging.
These ministries are sustained through conference apportionments, generous donors, local churches and the faithful service of staff, students and volunteers raising up the next generation of spiritual leaders.
Wesley Foundations and Campus Ministries
The Horizon Texas Conference supports a wide network of Wesley Foundations and United Methodist campus ministries that provide students with spiritual formation, leadership opportunities and holistic care. Many offer:
- Worship, study, and discipleship gatherings
- Free meals and food pantries
- Safe spaces for community and mental wellness
- Pastoral support and vocational discernment

Church Partnerships
Local churches can play a vital role in supporting these ministries. Whether by sponsoring a meal, praying for students, offering internships or building relationships with alumni, congregations across the Horizon Texas Conference are invited to partner with campus ministries in meaningful ways.
United Methodist Universities
The conference also connects with four United Methodist-affiliated institutions of higher education within its bounds: McMurry University, Southern Methodist University, Southwestern University, and Texas Wesleyan University. These schools nurture student faith through chaplaincy, worship, and service-learning.
