Economic Justice
“We believe in the right and duty of persons to work for the glory of God and the good of themselves and others and in the protection of their welfare in so doing; in the rights to property as a trust from God, collective bargaining, and responsible consumption; and in the elimination of economic and social distress.”

Today’s global economy is deeply connected, creating both great wealth and great inequality in our world. As Christians, we recognize that economic systems are human-made and accountable to God’s justice.
We are called to be mindful of how we participate—as workers, consumers, and investors—and to live out our faith in these roles. This means challenging unjust practices and policies that exploit workers, enrich a few at the expense of many, and keep people in poverty.
Together, we can work toward an economy that reflects God’s vision of fairness, dignity, and abundance for all.
