Ministry Discernment Summit
Is God stirring something deeper in you? Have you sensed a nudge toward ministry, a growing desire to serve Christ and the Church in a more intentional way? Are you wondering whether God may be calling you to licensed or ordained ministry in The United Methodist Church?
You are not alone, and you don’t have to discern that call by yourself!
Called to Serve: Ministry Discernment Summit is a one-day gathering designed for those prayerfully exploring a call to ministry. This summit creates sacred space for reflection, honest conversation, and practical guidance as you consider your next faithful step.
During the day, you will:
Reflect on your calling through worship and guided conversation
Learn about pathways to licensed and ordained ministry in the UMC
Hear from experienced clergy about their journeys
Receive clear guidance on the candidacy and credentialing process
Engage directly with representatives from the Board of Ordained Ministry, who will present on the process and offer time for Q&A
Connect with others who are discerning alongside you
Whether you are just beginning to sense a call or are ready to take concrete next steps, this summit is for you.
Registration Deadline: May 30, 2026

Online Grief Group
We believe that healing happens in community, through learning about God's love and care for us and through sharing life alongside others who understand. At the same time, we know that in-person grief support groups are not always available or accessible, especially in rural areas and smaller churches where these resources may not currently be offered. This online group was created to fill that gap and to ensure that no one has to walk alone.
Join us for a free online grief group, open to everyone and anyone navigating grief and deep feelings. On Wednesdays for six sessions, we’ll meet bi-weekly from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning March 18.

Embodied Exploration
Training for children, family, and youth directors to provide theological conversations for faith at church and in the home. (ATFCY gathering without Leanne Hadley.)
This spring, we are bringing in the Sharing Faith Initiative, a recipient of a Lily Grant. Their work focuses on how people engage in worship. One of their focuses is Children's Sermons by Children. We are bringing in Amanda Herridge, the program director, to teach us all she knows.
This is a great way to engage your young people to lead in worship. These skills are also good for middle and high schoolers, especially as we recognize that youth need spaces to lead in churches.
